Uni-Prop launches in Australia and New Zealand
A DISTRIBUTION partnership with the Hartman Group, based in Victoria, Australia, means Uni-Prop International’s award-winning Uni-Prop product will soon be available across Australia and New Zealand.
The adjustable building support can be adapted in just 60 seconds to safely deliver controlled hydraulic power of up to 2000kg across a range of 1.14 to 3.3m.
Having overcome the potential hurdles of Brexit as well as the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Suffolk based Uni-Prop® International is a British success story. Recognised with a number of business awards, the product exemplifies innovative design and function, which help improve the construction process, with a heavy accent on resulting health and safety benefits.
David Marr, managing director of Uni-Prop, comments: “This is a major success, not just for Uni-Prop, but for UK trade. The construction industry in Australia and New Zealand generates more than AUS$360 billion in revenue, producing around 9% of Australia’s Gross Domestic Product, and has a projected annual growth rate of 2.4% in the next five years*. With the Hartman Group as our exclusive distributor, we expect a significant uptake from this growing sector. The Australian construction sector has an appetite for innovative products that also contribute to improving health and safety in the industry. Additionally, we are also receiving much interest from the rest of the world, especially the USA”.
Gavin Rundle, managing director of the Hartman Group, adds: “I am very excited that we have become the exclusive distributor for Uni-Prop in Australasia. The product is a major innovation and will have a huge impact on health and safety in the trade. Uni-Prop joins our successful suite of building and construction products within the Gorilla family. Branded the Gorilla Uni-Prop, I’m looking forward to introducing the product to our client Bunnings, a leading DIY superstore outlet in Australia.”
This year, the product is shortlisted to win UK construction awards for health and safety as well as innovation.
Invented in Britain, Uni-Prop has created positive shock waves in both the construction and civil engineering sectors because of its detachable hydraulic assembly, which is supplied as a sealed unit in a bespoke HDPE case. It is the addition of this option that makes Uni-Prop so special and sets it apart from existing manual-only devices. Uni-Prop has the benefit of patent granted status in a number of territories including Australia, the USA and Chile to name but three.
Uni-Prop is available in three sizes – the Mini, Midi and Maxi models – which correlate with Acrows 0, 1 and 2. Uni-Prop is failure load tested to BS EN 1065 and can deliver up to 2000kg of controlled hydraulic power via the bespoke CE marked sealed unit Hydraulic Assembly.
